11:39 pm - New Week, New Friend...
Hi everyone,

I'm a little bit late for my weekly update, but for a good reason. I'll tell you why in a minute.

Well, I continued my quest to wear all the Japanese Barbie Fashions. Here I am wearing "Ballet Bouquet" while sitting on the phone in
Maria's office at work.

Tiny Kitty

Here I am wearing "Petal Parade", although I must admit that this outfit was a little bit chilly for the weather we've been having lately (highs today in the low 20's, brrrrr!)

Tiny Kitty

Finally, here I am wearing "Daisy Cafe".

Tiny Kitty

There is still one more Japanese outfit that I have not worn yet, but I'll get to that in a second. The big news this week is that Maria went to a doll show yesterday and picked up my new best friend, "Crimson Glamour Dottie"! She and I were chatting so much yesterday that we never had time to update my journal.

Tiny Kitty

Maria took more photos of Dottie and updated her page on the website. Click here to see Dottie's page..

Since Dottie is my new "best friend", I decided to let her wear "Floral Reception" before I did. I think she looks great in it!

Dottie and I will switch outfits this week, so I'll get a chance to wear "Floral Reception" too. Dottie is so nice and I know that she and I have lots of fun adventures ahead of us!

Today was also was also an exciting day because the new Tonner 2006 line was announced. Click here to see it.. Maria hopes to put the photos of the new Tiny Kitty line up on her website soon.

Well, its been a busy week, but a fun one. See you soon!

Love,
TK...

11:59 pm - First New Week of the Year!
Hi everyone,

I'm back again for my weekly update just as Maria promised. Hope you all had a good week! Mine turned out pretty nice, but was not very eventful. This week Maria decided to dress me in the Barbie Japanese fashions that she finally put up on her Tiny Kitty website. (You know she took those pictures almost 2 1/2 years ago and just got around to putting them up! Boy is she slow!) If you want to see the page on her site with all the fashions click here.
Anyway, here is the first fashion that she dressed me in. Its called "Citrus Blossom"

Tiny Kitty

I thought I was going to get a chance to wear all six of the fashions this week, but unfortunately, I only got to wear this one. (See, I told you that she was slow!) I do have to say that it was a very pretty dress though. Maria promises that she'll switch my outfit a few times this week. (I hope so! How many of you wear the same outfit 5 days in a row?) Today she dressed me in the "Petal Pushers" outfit which I am wearing right now.

Tiny Kitty

So we'll see if I get to wear more fashions this week. I'll let you know. I love these Japanese Barbie outfits (although they really are just repackaged Fashion Avenue outfits, its neat to think that they are somehow unique. They do have a sort of "Japanese" style to them.) But I'm really looking forward to trying out some of the new Fashion Fever outfits that Maria says she has. I really like the outfit that I wore on New Years Eve. I can't wait to see the others!

Oh, I thought you might want to see where I "live" most of the time while I am in Maria's house. I sit on desk beside a Tiny Betsy doll which Maria named "Emily Ann" (she has her own story which Maria hopes to bring to you someday). On the couch to the side of the desk is a Betsy McCall Rag Doll which Maria made from a vintage pattern. On the top of the couch you can see two 1980's "My Child" dolls. There are six of them sitting on the the couch. (Maria hopes to bring you their story someday too on her "Doll Memories" website).

Tiny Kitty

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot. Behind me is Ken. I don't know him too well, but from what I do know, I can kind of understand why he and Barbie broke up a couple of years ago. He used to talk mostly to the 2003 Basic Blonde Tiny Kitty doll who used to stand next to him on the desk. But she moved to the "Knitting Style" display in Maria's doll cabinet a month or so ago. We've spoken to each other a couple of times, but not much. Don't get me wrong. Its not like he's a jerk or anything. I mean, I guess he is sort of cute...in a way.

Well, enough about Ken for now. Anyway, hope you all have a good week! Wish me luck in getting to try on more new fashions! I'll fill you in when we talk again. See you next week!

Love,
TK...

11:46 pm - Happy New Year!
Hi everyone,

Its me, TK! I'm back! Sorry its been so long since I updated my journal. Maria has made a New Year's resolution that she will update my journal once a week from now on. So starting in 2006, you will will get a weekly update on my new adventures.

Just wanted to fill you in on a few things that happened since my last update in July. I spent the rest of the summer basking in the rays of the sun. Here I am wearing the Tiny Kitty 2003 "Summer Chic" outfit and a pair of sunglasses that I borrowed from a Barbie Silkstone Fashion model doll.

On the same day that photo was taken, I also met up with some other dolls that live in a huge pink house in Maria's home. To my surprise, it was the Olson Twins, Mary Kate and Ashley. I didn't realize that I would meet celebrities here! I told them that some of my other TK friends who live here have borrowed their clothing (as shown in the photo below). Does this bother them? "Of course not!" they replied. In fact, they love it when other people wear their clothing. It keeps them in business and allows them to live the life to which they are accustomed. Plus, they know that they look the best in their clothes anyway, and thats all that really matters.

Later in the summer, Maria took me to her office one day. Here I am sitting next to her phone. I have to say, that it wasn't very exciting, but at least it was a trip outside of the house.

Tiny Kitty

Speaking of leaving the house, in September, I did travel with Maria to the Tonner Halloween Convention in Framingham, Massachusetts. Below is a photo of me sitting on the bed in the hotel room at the Sheraton. Unfortunately, the room is all I got to see. My other TK friend, "Nobility and Nuances" dressed up in the "Lady Rogue" outfit, and got to attend the "Witches Ball". She was signed by Robert Tonner. Also, much to my surprise, Maria won a "twin" version of me at the "Harvest Brunch" event. She was also signed by Robert Tonner. Hmmmm....I'm a little bit disappointed that I walked away from this event without a Robert Tonner tattoo on my lower back. Maria assures me that I will accompany her to an event in the future where Robert will sign me. We'll see!

I have also continued to practice my modeling. Here I am wearing the 2005 "Pretty as a Picture" outfit looking "Pretty as a Picture" of course!

Tiny Kitty

Well, I'm looking forward to more adventures in the year to come. Maria assures me that she has many new outfits ready for me to model. Here I am tonight wearing a new Barbie "Fashion Fever" outfit. I'm ready to celebrate the new year. Happy New Year everyone! Look for more updates from me in 2006!

Tiny Kitty

Oh, and my big sister Kitty wants you to know that she will be starting her own journal in 2006. I'm the representative for Maria's "tiny" sized dolls in her collection and Kitty is the representative for the larger sized dolls. Kitty arrived in our house on Maria's birthday in November. Look for her new journal soon! Here she is wishing you a Happy New Year too!

Tiny Kitty

Take care everyone and I'll chat with you again soon!

Love,
TK...

5:32 pm - Welcome to My Journal!
Hi! My name is TK and welcome to my new journal!

I am a Tiny Kitty "Country Roads" doll who is part of Maria's doll collection. Maria thought it would be fun to share my experiences with you, so that is why we created this journal. I feel honored that she chose me to represent her Tiny Kitty dolls. I will try my best to describe my adventures as a collectible play doll.

I arrived at Maria's house 2 days ago, and since then, it has been a whirlwind of activity. My first adventure included a photo shoot of me in my original clothing. Here is what I looked like:

Maria recently read of some makeover attempts by other collectors "Country Roads" dolls that resulted in a cute new look. My original hair was a little bit stiff with setting gel and my curly bangs were a bit overwhelming. So, she decided to give me a makeover too. Here I am after getting my hair washed and my bangs trimmed.

After the makeover, she dressed me in a new pink Barbie Fashion Fever outfit which you see in the photo at the begining of this journal entry. I think my hair came out great! It looks so much more natural. Yesterday, Maria dressed me in the 2004 Fall/Holiday release Tiny Kitty outfit called "Yachting Style". Here are some photos:

I'm just learning how to model. I definitely need more practice. I'm hoping I'll have a chance to try on some new outfits soon.

Looking forward to chatting with you more in the future. I'll share photos of me wearing new outfits, traveling on new adventures, and interviewing other Tiny Kitty doll's in Maria's collection. See you again soon!

Love,
TK...
